The trip to Scotland and Cumbria was a huge success

This trip was extensively photographed. We took 2700 pictures.  We went to the family grave yard in Wigton and explored Aikbank as well as the Greenside ruins.  I also went to Castle Carrock and to Lessonhall.

A full day was spent in the record office in Carlisle.  This has proven very fruitful.

THERE HAS BEEN A GENEALOGICAL BREAKTHROUGH WITH THE HEAVISIDE LINE!!!!!!

There has also been a lot of information collected and it will probably take me a week to go through it all.

We also spent the day with the Pearson's of Aikhead who are descendants of John Pearson and Elizabeth Adamson.  Very happy to have a local contact.

The focus of this site is to re-establish the connection between the three Pearson branches in the world.

You will need to provide your Pearson Genealogy to the webmaster.  Once the information is verified you will be given access to the site.  If your family tree does not apply to our family please do not make the request.  You must be a descendant of the Patriarch below to be included.  The password is FREE.  All you need to do is submit your info to me to show you are related.  At the present time we have over 800 descendants of John.   Now 900!!!!!!!!!

We do not publish information about anyone who is still alive---ever!!!

This information was found in the Wigton Parish Records.

Greenside is a small village in Wigton parish 4km southwest of Wigton and is not a town.  Please do not confuse it with the town of Greenside which is in Northumberland County.  Also do not confuse it with the Greenside mine which is located in a different part of the county.

Greenside is located a little less than a 1/4 mile south of Aikbank.  As of 2007 Google maps show that Greenside has been completely destroyed and no longer has any buildings.  You can see where it was once located.

Aikbank is still in existence although it is now a large farm complex.  It has gained press in the past several years as being one of the locations affected by foot and mouth disease.

The Canadian branch of the family was started by Thomas Pearson and Ann Heaviside and their children As well as Thomas' Nephew Joseph Pearson and his wife Mary McDiarmid.

It has been argued that the Pearson's of Kings and Queens Co. are not related to those in Albert Co.  This is NOT TRUE.  It is the same family
